Energy drinks? What is the truth on energy drinks. My gut tells me that they are bad.  Huge doses of caffeine along with mystery substances spells bad news in my book.  I will do my due dilligence on these hugely popular drinks with the energy deprived and get back to you. 

I need you to be consistent in your workouts.  You will not make steady gains unless you are training consistently.  Try to hit all the strength days.  These days are there to help you get stronger.  If you are not strong enough to do the CrossFit prescribed workouts you are not strong enough.  Work to get stronger.
